| PC/Lan Specialist Technical Skills: " MCP preferred. " Strong knowledge of Intel/AMD server hardware required. " Strong knowledge of at least one of the following: o Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. o Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems. o Novell NetWare. o Other operating System(s) " Proficient installing/building an operating system from scratch. " Experience with imaging products such as Symantecs Ghost or Novells PlateSpin. " Knowledge of a virtualization product (VMware, Xen) a plus. " Working knowledge of at least one backup software suite (CommVault, Computer Associates BrightStor, EMC Legato Networker, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Symantec NetBackup or Symantec Backup Exec, other recovery applications). " Operational experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Fibre Channel technology preferred. " Operational experience with Network Attached Storage(NAS) or external disk storage arrays preferred. " Minimum of (1) year operational experience in a LAN Server computing environment. " Minimum of (1) year experience in a role involving direct customer contact (internal and/or external customers). " Operational experience with enterprise-class tape libraries preferred. " Working knowledge of TCP/IP and network technologies a plus. | ||
