DATA GOVERNANCE ANALYST

 

 

 

 

 

One of our Financial Industry clients is seeking a Data Governance Business Analyst. This person will work with the Enterprise Data Steward in the Data Governance Office as a liaison between their Lines of Business, DOG and the IT Department. 

Responsibilities:

 

 

 

Gather business data requirements in the form of a Business Requirements Document.

 

Assist the various lines of business with identifying their Key Data Elements, defining the business terms, business quality rules and registering this information in the Corporate Business Glossary.

 

Identify Reference Data and work with the Reference Data Manager to import them into the Corporate Reference Data Management System.

 

Assist the Enterprise Data Steward with managing project time-lines and deliverables. Help train the business data stewards in our Data Governance/Data Stewardship Program. @

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

Knowledge of Project management methodology/SDLC/PLC processes, (5-7 years experience).
MS Project experience
A problem solver able to make routine decisions as well as complex analyses in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Strong Excel database knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
Able to work will autonomously and be a complete self-starter.
Prior Financial Industry experience necessary.
Knowledge of Risk, Finance and Compliance with regards to the banking industry a plus.
Although not required, knowledge of Derivatives and Securities would be helpful.
