Job Description
IT NETWORK ENGINEERING MANAGER
Responsibilities:
·Develop and operalize the technology architecture roadmaps and maintain existing roadmaps; Evaluate the current network security architecture and develop action plans to make necessary improvements in line with industry best practices and standards
· Provide input on the overall technology plan for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the network security technical infrastructure; Collaborate and work effectively with different technology teams and vendors delivering complete networking solutio
· Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of current industry directions and trends; Drive to deliver technology and products in the roadmap on schedule, and with the highest quality
· Provide advice, guidance and direction to carry out plans and procedures; Ensure product development process adherence, performance and budget targets are met; Provide last tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis; Establish network environments by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
· Understand the Operations and Architecture of the Network security technology and recommend ways to enhance productivity and visibility through automation; Work closely with internal Network Operations and Engineering teams to gather requirements and build/deploy appropriate tools
· Build configuration management, service provisioning, inventory management, resource management, process automation, visibility and self-service tools; Provide training and guidance to other members of the Network team
Qualifications:
· Minimum five years of experience in Network design and engineering, managing and supporting large scale projects and network automaton
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
· Experience designing and implementing network architecture and reference architectures; from business requirements gathering to technology rollout oversight, including capacity management, definition of scoring methodologies for technology selection, integration of multiple tools and technical documentation
· Understanding and expertise in Cisco ACI infrastructure, related programming aspects
· Deep understanding of TCP/IP and Routing & Switching: Routing technologies, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IPV4/V6, NAT, ACL's, DNS: Technical knowledge of remote access technology MPLS, VPN, IPSec and ACLs: Functional expertise in host based policy controls like Cisco Tetration, VMware NSX, VArmour: Functional level in firewall technologies, Cisco ASA and Palo Alto is required: Ability to program with one or more `scripting' languages (such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash and JavaScript):
· Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; Must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and team work; Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; Ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
