SSUSA Job #746: Systems Engineer

-Strong understanding of the TCP 7-layer model  

-Understanding of Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, MQ, and FIX protocols

-Must be able to talk to the business user and have good network diagnostic skills 

-Configure new connectivity flows; requires understanding of the TCP 7-layer model

• • Understanding of s/ftp, mq, and fix protocols
• • Troubleshoot, resolve, and documents connectivity and flow issues
• • Respond to high priority tickets involving different type of flows and priorities
• • Participate in NOC back-office various tasks – user’s management, internal version uploads to test environment, etc.
• • Develop knowledge and skills in network and system administration, particularly regarding the company’s own architecture and platforms
• • Liaise with both technical and management teams, handling escalation through to resolution
• Act as an escalation focal point to support tickets requiring assistance, planning, or technical work to ensure proper resolution

• SKILLS:

  • Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly
  • • Strong understanding in Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, MQ, and FIX protocols
  • • Strong network diagnostic skills
  • • Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources
• • • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • • Self-motivated and flexible with the initiative required to ensure that our clients have a high degree of confidence in the candidate’s ability to efficiently manage the services with minimal intervention
