Job Description
PL SQL APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Our financial client is seeking to form a BHC in 2018 this role will enhance the Risk and Regulatory Reporting Applications team with talent and experience toward the goals for this endeavor.
The technical skills required for this role are:
- Knowledge of PL SQL and/or T SQL
- Familiarity with Datastage,
- Familiarity with JSON RESTful
- Understanding of data quality and data lineage
The developer will work with both the Regulatory Reporting Group and the Risk Group to analyze the data and associated required transformations needed to properly integrate with the reporting platform. The BHC regulatory reporting platform is based on Lombard Risk's AgileREPORTER and integration with this platform depending on the contents of the data, requires either SQL or JSON RESTful knowledge. Agile-Reporter is also a work-flow tool therefore experience with work-flow programming is desirable. Knowledge of BHC/IHC regulatory reporting, in particular, FRY 9C and RWA highly desirable. Credit risk knowledge is a plus.
Experience/Knowledge Requirements
- 6 + years in a financial institution with some of that time working in Capital Markets
- 3+ years working with IHC/BHC formation projects
- 3+ years SQL development
- 2+ years JSON RESTful or related technology preferred
- 2+ years Datastage or related technology preferred
- Java programming and BPM knowledge desirable
Preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:
- BS in Computer Science or Finance
- MBA or MS preferred
Required Skills/Abilities
This position will require:
- Working with the Regulatory Reporting and Risk groups to gain agreement on data requirements for regulatory reporting
- Documenting the agreed to requirements
- Designing the PL SQL/ETL and integration to the reporting platform
- Adhering to SDLC practices
- Excellent communications skills
- Working with others from different cultures
- Ability to adapt to procedures
