DATA QUALITY ANAYLST

 

Our global banking client is expanding its Data Governance group. They are currently looking for an individual with an understanding of how data quality is measured and monitored and improved in a financial institution. You will establish a Data Quality (DQ) practice, lead a team, and create an enterprise DQ strategy and platforms, changing employees’ habits and behaviors around DQ and data management. You will lead the adoption of best practices and establish firm-wide DQ measurement, DQ incident management, and data profiling capabilities. You will also interact with business stakeholders to understand business strategy, scenarios, gaps, issues, and needs to create relevant data strategies and DQ solutions that lead to positive business outcomes.

 

 Duties:

Assemble and motivate a team of data quality practitioners as indirect reports
Create a road map to drive DQ and data management maturity by deploying enterprise DQ services and methodologies
Establish, communicate, and lead the adoption of DQ standards and best practices across the enterprise, influencing peers to adopt programs and projects to achieve efficiencies
Deliver DQ solutions and capabilities to data stewards, including DQ dashboards to measure their business-critical data
Lead the effort to create a DQ continuous improvement culture among the data stewards

 

 Develop, document, and maintain data quality goals, standards, and requirements.

  • Provide consultation and training in data quality management and improvement practices to IT team members, business subject matter experts, and senior leaders.

  • Establish and maintain an ongoing process for reviewing suspect data, determining root cause, and remediating data quality issues.

  • Project Management: Partners with cross-functional teams to assess data quality improvement opportunities, identify cost-effective improvements, and manage data quality projects.

  • Monitors production data quality. Reports to management on the progress of data quality improvement.

    Experience Knowledge and Requirement

    More than 3-5 years of hands-on, enterprise-level data quality program experience, including leading firm-wide adoption and program/project delivery

    Experience in coaching business teams through process improvement by addressing underlying data quality issues

    Experience in quantifying and monetizing DQ improvements

    Demonstrated good data management practices and the ability to influence practitioners to adopt it

    Continuous process improvement, measurement and change adoption experience

    Experience working in a multi-cultural organization

    Great Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience in the finance industry

  • Degree in computer science, management information systems, or a similar discipline

  • Hands-on data quality tools experience with industry-leading tools like Informatica IDQ, IBM QualityStage, Information Analyzer, and Global IDs

  • Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, and Lean certifications or experience
