Job Description: Our client has a vacancy for a System Test Lead Tester to support ongoing production maintenance and phased rollout implementation of one of there main Applications. The Lead Tester will be responsible for: developing a JAVA framework and re-writing functions written in VB script into JAVA; Preparing test plans for Unit, System, and Functional, Regression, Integration, Performance and User Acceptance testing; Tracking system defects with defect tracking tool and providing supporting reports and documentation. S/he will work closely with the Functional Design Lead, Development Lead and key business partners to design, develop, test and implement product initiatives to support production. The Tester will work with various teams, but will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. As this is a highly automated Testing Environment, the Lead will be expected to offer guidance and to be knowledgeable in Automation of Test cases using a Rational Automation Framework. S/he will work with automation testers and plan out automation tasks, help debug issues and execute automation scripts using Rational Functional Tester. Preferred Skills: Hands on development experience in Java, VB and VB script. Experience in a Lead Testing role. Experience with Rational Quality Manager for Test Management Activities. Experience with automated software tool like RQM, Selenium or QTP. Able to manage automated test script design and maintenance including debugging scripts and executing the same for regression testing. Functional time keeping experience with an ERP or a Customized Application. Development experience in JAVA/J2EE or VB.Net. Experience using Rational Functional Tester, HP Quality Center, QTP or Selenium. Strong analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. analysis, recreation and very detail oriented). Excellent communications skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience using integrated tools of Rational Suite (Rational Functional Tester, Rational Manual Tester, Test Manager, Requisite Pro. (Clear Case and Clear Quest). Experience with Time Keeping System using an ERP or a Customized Application. Functional knowledge of HR and Payroll administration processes.
