Job Description: Our financial client has a vacancy for Sr. Systems Analyst to support ongoing production maintenance and system enhancements of the HR and Benefits functions. Under the direction of the Developer Manager, the System Analyst has the primary responsibility of ensuring the quality of the software architecture and the vendor’s modifications to the system, any associated custom development to meet the functional and technical requirements and enable our client to operate and maintain the software application in a cost effective manner after the implementation. The Systems Analyst will also be responsible for data/code analysis, creation and review of technical designs, development, customizations, unit testing, STAT, bundling, un-bundling, documentation and promotion of code using PeopleTools 8.x and Oracle 9.2x Platforms. The Sr. Systems Analyst will also manage the dissemination, integration and promotion of PeopleSoft customization’s, upgrades and patches across multiple environments. The Sr. Systems Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers and key business partners to design, develop, test and implement product initiatives to support production. This person will work in various teams, but will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Primary responsibilities will include: working in a functional/technical capacity with a good understanding of business processes, relational databases and PeopleSoft table structure; Collaborating with release teams to provide analysis, design, development and testing guidance and support; Streamlining implementation and support of project initiatives; Data and/or process analysis; Performance tuning; Creation and review of Technical Designs. Preferred Skills: Must have 3+years PeopleSoft 8.x (v. 8.8 is plus) development experience with HR, Benefits Administration; Experience documenting processes for HR, Payroll and/or Benefits, three full lifecycle PeopleSoft HR and/or Benefits Admin implementation experience; PS Interface Process Scheduler experience. PeopleSoft PeopleCode, SQR, SQL experience; Developing PeopleSoft interfaces into legacy and 3rd party systems. Experience with Unix and Shell Scripting. Knowledge of mainframe environment and application development tools. Excellent knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM Database model; Experience on full PeopleSoft implementations with recent experience (prior 2yrs) using PeopleSoft HR or Benefits. Excellent understanding of a systems development lifecycle methodology; Working with an enterprise wide, large-scale implementation.
