Job Description: Our client in New York City has a vacancy for a PeopleSoft Developer with a concentration in Benefits Administration to support ongoing production maintenance and phased rollout implementation of the HR and Benefits functions of PeopleSoft HRMS. Under the direction of the Development Lead, the PeopleSoft Developer will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the quality of the software architecture, the vendor’s modifications to the system, as well as any associated custom development to meet the functional and technical requirements and enable our client to operate and maintain the software application in a cost effective manner after the implementation. This position will work closely with the Project Manager, Functional Design Lead, Business Analysts, Test Lead and key business partners to design, develop, unit test and implement product initiatives to support production. The PeopleSoft Developer will work in various teams, but will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Preferred Skills: PeopleSoft in v. 8.8 and v. 9.0 development experience with HR, Benefits Administration, Manager Self Service and/or Workflow; Experience with PeopleSoft development tools version 8.48; PeopleSoft development and integration experience with upgrades and patches; Experience developing PeopleSoft interfaces into legacy and 3rd party systems; Experience on full PeopleSoft implementations with recent experience (prior 2yrs) using PeopleSoft HR or Benefits; Strong development experience in relation to Benefits Administration Module; Knowledge of PeopleSoft 11CM Database model; Strong UNIX and Shell Scripting; Strong knowledge of STAT tool; Experience documenting processes for HR, Payroll and/or Benefits; Experience working on an enterprise wide project a must; full lifecycle PeopleSoft HR and/or Ben Admin implementation experience; Certified Developer; VISTA Plus report distribution tool; CA Scheduler tool; Knowledge of mainframe environment is a plus; Experience working with PeopleSoft Implementations in a government or civil service environment; Experience working within a matrix environment; Excellent understanding of a systems development lifecycle methodology; Strong communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must.
