Job Description

Primary Responsibilities include:

Primary responsibilities will be to provide technical hardware and software expertise for effective and timely support and administration of the company's SAN, including the EMC Symmetrix frame, Brocade Directors/Switches/Gateways, and IBM and STK tape silos. As a SAN Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for planning, configuration, and management of storage area networks, VERITAS Netbackup, monitoring and performance tuning of the storage subsystems, and Capacity planning and storage allocation forecasting for the applications.

Required Qualifications:

- Thorough understanding of SAN technology, EMC Control Center, SAN Switches, HBAs, BCV technology, SAN Manager and SRDF, as well as Brocade Fibre Channel switches and implementation expertise

- Strong working knowledge of VERITAS Netbackup for UNIX and Windows, as management of the backup infrastructure is a major part of the job requirements.

- Experience with Oracle 11G, PeopleSoft application and architecture, Oracle procedures, RMAN, AIX Shell scripting, database tuning, and configuration.

- Experience with Windows Netbackup is also required.

- The candidate must also possess expert knowledge of multi-pathing and dual fabric switched solutions.

- Any experience with CA-Scheduler integration is a plus.

- Must be a self motivated individual that works well in groups as well as independently and requires little direction to achieve results

- Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementation Education: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a technical/business discipline or 2-4 years practical technical/business experience.
