SENIOR STORAGE ENGINEER Position Summary Architect, build, operate, and maintain the Distributed Systems storage infrastructure in a highly virtualized environment. The role will include Storage Area Networking, Enterprise Backup and Recovery, tools deployment, Automation and Scripting, Array management, and Fiber Channel Director management. Experience with VMAX is a big plus. net app experience is very helpful.

Qualifications/Experience Specific technical areas of expertise include:

• Experience with EMC VMax and the associated software tools such as SRDF, TimeFinder, Symmetrix Triangulated Automated Replication (STAR), Enterprise Control Center (ECC) and Symmetrix Management Console (SMC).

• Experience in IP based storage technologies and networking.

• Experience in a production environment consisting of VMWare, IBM AIX, Windows, Linux, and OpenVMS

• Experience in Fiber Channel technologies including Director and Departmental class products and their management suites.

• Experience with the NetApp suite of NAS hardware and software products.

• Knowledge of the IBM San Volume Controller (SVC) products.

• Experience with HP EVA Storage Subsystems, Management & Host software, and Management Appliances.

• Knowledge of current replication techniques, both MAN and WAN. • Experience in Enterprise Backup hardware solutions. Technologies include Virtual Tape Libraries and automated tape silos.

• Experience with the suite of Veritas products including NetBackup, Volume Manager, Dynamic Multi Path, etc.

• Experience in Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, testing, and documentation using a variety of techniques.

• Knowledge of advanced networking technologies such as DWDM, SONET, and other Metropolitan and Wide Area topologies.

• Knowledge of ITIL management and Six Sigma process improvement.

• Project Management experience with complex, multi-discipline projects is required. Candidate must be highly motivated and effective in dealing across internal organizations.

• Automation scripting experience is highly desirable.

• Any experience in Enterprise Management suites such HP/ITO, OpenView, etc. is desirable.

• Some Database experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or Sybase will be helpful.

• Professional credentials in any storage or networking technologies are highly desirable.
